In an exclusive interview given to our colleagues from “Puremédias” on Tuesday April 25, 2023, Nikos Aliagas announced that he was going to stop presenting the program “50 minutes Inside” on TF1, after 16 years of good and loyal service. The host now wants to focus only on the issues of Saturday evenings.

A big upheaval for TF1. Tuesday April 25, 2023, Nikos Aliagas announced in an interview with Puremédias that he was going to withdraw from the presentation of 50 minutes inside, the people program on the front page, broadcast on Saturday at the end of the day: “In agreement with my bosses, I have decided to stop because my 2023/2024 season will be busy with the new seasons of star Academy And The Voice“, also broadcast on Saturdays, in the first part of the evening.

“I want to take time for myself”

Nikos Aliagas says he wants to “focus the challenges of (his) return to Saturday evenings”. “For 16 years, I’ve been on the air at 5.50 p.m. and back at 1 a.m. (…). It’s a lot,” he concedes. The host is not worried about the future of the show, which “will continue after his departure”. He does not specify who he would see taking his place. “A girl can be nice”, loose the one who is more than ready to pass the torch of 50’Inside.

“I tell myself that you have to know how to hand over and do it when I can do it (…) I want to take time for myself, to focus on other issues and develop what I am doing more and more around the photo,” he says.

“I feel good but…”

In his interview, Nikos Aliagas explains that he needs to slow down. And, he came to this conclusion a few months ago, when he was forced to give up presenting the NRJ Music Awards after being injured on the set of the star Academy. “There was a slip on a blind spot on the set,” he explained to Puremedias on Tuesday. “I’m going to be 54 in a few days. I feel in good shape but I suffered a lot at that time. I came back up and it’s better”.
