Middle of life? Too old for anything? Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that. The fun really starts at 40 – and we should emphasize that.

Seriously, 40+ is a super-age: We can’t say that to ourselves (and to others) often enough. Yes, it would be best if we even shout it out loud to ourselves several times a day. That’s why we wrote down a few sentences here that we don’t use often enough – although we could do that. Just repeat after us:

1. “I’m really young.” Big point. No addition, no “but”. People born today have a statistical life expectancy of 83.2 years. That’s just an average, which means that the likelihood that many of us will turn 100 is pretty good. Apart from the fact that at 40 you are still extremely fit today – practically 30 (see also point 5).

2. “Being 20 was really exhausting. It’s good that I’m finally over 40. It’s so much more relaxed.” This is actually the case 99 percent of the time. Back then, 20 was okay, but what kind of problems did you have … The priorities are much clearer today (see also point 9).

3. “The alternative to getting old is to die young”. This is an undeniable fact – who else says that getting old is a bad thing?

4th “Midlife Crisis? I haven’t. Besides, I’m still a long way from halfway through”. From a statistical point of view this is correct (see point 1), and it is always the right point of view, no matter how old you really get. You already know: use the day and so on. However, a crisis is nothing purely negative anyway, especially not if you use it to finally do everything you always wanted to do (see point 5)

5. Climbing Mount Everest, running a marathon, becoming a model – I can do all of that right now. “ Fortunately, I don’t have to. But if there are still wishes unanswered, NOW is probably the right time to fulfill them. However, this motto fits at any age.

6. “The best is yet to come! “ Statistically speaking, people are most self-confident at 60 and satisfaction increases with age. We’re just saying future prospects of retirement, travel, younger lovers – this list can be supplemented as required. To ask?

7th “The sex is much better than it was 20 years ago.” Okay, maybe it’s a little less sex, but it’s quality. Incidentally, because women over 40 also know better what they want and can also formulate it (see point 9).

8th. “Wrinkles suit me totally.” Not to mention that the only way to avoid wrinkles is to avoid laughing, never going out in the sun, or stepping off early. However, these are probably not alternatives.

9. “I know exactly what I want.” Perhaps one or the other already knew this at the age of 20. In fact, women over 40 are much more precise with wishes for themselves and others – and that’s a good thing.
