Nine totally underestimated things that really make you happy!

They don’t seem great to us, but all in all, it’s exactly these things that make us really happy. We just have to do them more. And that’s very easy.

Do you think you need a huge building, a vacation in the Caribbean and a dream job to be happy? That’s not true. It’s really the little things that make us happy in the long run. We summarized it:

1. Sleep. Yes, of course, we just have to spend a certain amount of time in bed to survive. But have you thought about celebrating properly? Every mother knows how terrific it is to sleep in peace for eight hours at a time. That’s why we should actually look forward to our mattress every evening – and take a nice rest lap at lunchtime at the weekend.

2. listen to music. According to studies, families who often listen to music together are not only more harmonious with each other, but background melodies also make them happier. Athletes who listen to music while training are also more effective. It’s best to try it out directly, it doesn’t cost anything.

3. The right food. Noodles make you happy, no nonsense. Feelings of happiness are caused by high levels of serotonin in the brain. Serotonin is formed by converting the amino acid tryptophan, which is found in carbohydrates. Understood? They make you a bit plumper, but we don’t care. We think we’re good, on principle. It doesn’t matter whether we have two kilos more on our ribs or not. See point 4.

4. find yourself good. Doesn’t always work? Can you practice. Just tell yourself how good you are in front of the mirror. It can be a little thing you like about yourself or the big picture. Always emphasize the advantages out loud. If you think you’re good, you’ll find others – and above all everything else – great.

5. Smile. It sounds banal, and it is. True anyway. If you smile, you get more out of life. Ever wondered why babies get grinned at so much? Not just because they’re so cute, but because they smile and laugh a lot more than anyone else – and that’s why they get it back

6. Play. According to current research, people who can play like children are not only more exuberant, but also smarter. Because in the game we learn for life and train our brain. That’s why children learn so quickly. And “man, don’t fret yourself” was actually fun in the past. Just like stop dancing.

7. Dance. Do you also remember the nights you danced through school? Of course we can’t take it anymore because of the sleep (see point 1) that we need, but every now and then a dance marathon like that has to be in there. Incidentally, it can also be in the living room at 4 p.m. in the afternoon. You don’t even need a partner for that, just a bit of music.

8th. To sing. Have you ever banged on with the little ones and screamed out all your frustration at “The Thoughts Are Free”? then you know how liberating that can be. Also works with AC/DC, Pur or Florian Silbereisen. The main thing is out and loud. It’s a lot of fun – whether organized in a choir or band or freestyle in the bathtub. It’s better than any therapy. Real.

9. Kiss. Somehow that used to be more important. Unfortunately. But you can change it again. Nice snogging, what the stuff holds. The same applies to cuddling with the man or the children, makes totally happy and also fun. Best right now. This text here is finally over.
