Nintendo: 111 million Switches sold, and Nintendo Switch Sports is a hit

The shortage may affect all manufacturers, nintendo has peace of mind as long as its Switch is popular. The console’s sales rate is incredibly steady for a machine that has celebrated its fifth birthday, and Nintendo can boast of having one of the best-selling consoles in history. The manufacturer is today releasing the results of its first quarter of this fiscal year, and once again, the Switch is selling like hot cakes.

The Switch reaches a new level

So certainly, we can see a drop in the total number of sales compared to the last quarter, but Nintendo can still pop the champagne. In this last quarter, 3.43 million Switches were sold, compared to 4.11 million in the first quarter. Still, the performance is remarkable, and allows Nintendo to reach a new level.

111.08 million Switches have now been sold worldwide since its launch (counter stopped on June 30, 2022). With big releases and a Christmas period that should be good, we can say that the console can aim for 120 million by the end of this fiscal year if it continues at this rate.

Game sales always on top

In addition to that, Nintendo announces that it sold more than 41.41 million games during the last quarter. Here are the new top 10 best-selling Switch games:
