- The Nintendo Switch 2 should be able to display Breath of the Wild in 4K with 60 FPS.
- Additionally, the Switch’s successor may have DLSS 3.5 and ray tracing.
- In addition to new graphics technology, new and faster memory should also be installed.
There are currently various rumors surrounding the Nintendo Switch 2, as Nintendo is said to have presented the new console behind closed doors during Gamescom.
Podcaster Nate the Hate explains on YouTube that the successor to the Nintendo Switch displayed Breath of the Wild in 4K with 60 FPS and DLSS 3.5 activated.
According to X user Tech_Reve, this should be made possible by Nvidia’s Tegra T239 graphics chip, which could also bring another popular gaming feature to the handheld in addition to DLSS. The Nintendo Switch 2 may have ray tracing in the future.
No more loading times
But not only the new graphics technology was said to have been part of the demonstration during the trade fair, but also the significantly reduced loading times.
While the loading screen for Breath of the Wild on the normal Switch would still run for around 30 seconds, on the Nintendo Switch 2 no loading time would be necessary and this is supposedly due to new memory.
However, these rumors have not yet been confirmed. Some other features for the Switch successor are still unconfirmed. You will find out whether the information is correct by the release date of the Nintendo Switch 2 at the latest.
