Nintendo is probably already preparing the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2. There’s a possible new sign of an impending reveal of the new console.

In the world of Nintendo fans, more and more questions are being asked about a new console. No wonder, after all, the Nintendo Switch has been on the market for many years.
There are already numerous rumors about a Switch 2, but now the official announcement could be imminent. At least that’s what many fans are discussing on the X channel “Nintendeal”, which specializes in Nintendo offers.
The social media channel has pointed outthat various physical Nintendo games in North America are out of stock at many well-known retailers such as Amazon or Gamestop. Titles like Super Mario Odyssey, Paper Mario: Origami King or Pikmin 3 Deluxe are mentioned.
Nintendeal hints at the possibility that this is a sign that the Switch 2 will launch soon. The Japanese publisher may be planning to release these titles with updated packaging, which could state that the title works on the first Switch and also Switch 2. Accordingly, Nintendo would no longer supply the stores with the games and would implement the corresponding changes.
Fans are rather skeptical
Fans tend not to believe that this is a sign of an imminent launch. Some see this as a sign that some titles may no longer sell as well since they already have a lot of game fans. They also express doubts that the Switch 2 will be able to play physical games at all.
There is already a rumor about two possible models of the Switch 2. One of them would accept physical games. We think it’s possible that Nintendo will offer backwards compatibility, but of course nothing is certain yet.
We don’t consider Nintendeal’s speculation to be particularly promising, especially since the games mentioned are all still available in physical form on Amazon Germany. Nevertheless, you can look forward to the next few months with optimism, as an announcement of a new console in 2024 is certainly possible. It is rather questionable whether the release will follow this year.
