To conclude on the issue of backwards compatibility, Doug Bowser affirmed his desire to mitigate the loss of speed generally observed at the end of a platform’s life cycle. Remember that Wii U and 3DS games purchased on the Nintendo eShop cannot be transferred to a Nintendo Switch. Bowser’s statements (he is trustworthy) may therefore suggest that it will not be the same between the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2.
