Nintendo Switch: Several hours of maintenance scheduled for this week

A functioning network is now essential to ensure an optimal user experience for console users. And for this network to continue to function properly, it must be regularly maintained. The catch is that it can cause temporary service disruptions for players. It is for this reason that manufacturers generally try to notify their customers when maintenance is scheduled.

Nintendo will carry out several maintenance operations on the Switch’s servers this week. On the program, three separate operations are scheduled for Thursday, January 13. As always, this maintenance can lead to the inaccessibility of the Nintendo Switch online services.

According to Nintendo, the three maintenance operations of the week will concern the “backup data transfer,” the “user transfer“and various”online services“(like downloading in-game content, etc.).

On Nintendo Switch, three maintenances are better than one

Here is more precisely the schedule of these interviews carried out on the Switch network. The times listed below are in Paris time.

Backup data transfer:

  • From Thursday January 13, 2022 at 5:30 a.m. to Thursday January 13, 2022 at 8:00 a.m.

User transfer:

  • From Thursday January 13, 2022 at 5:30 a.m. to Thursday January 13, 2022 at 8:00 a.m.

Online services :

  • From Thursday January 13, 2022 at 7 a.m. to Thursday January 13, 2022 at 9 a.m.

Therefore, if some services are not running at the times listed above, it is normal. Early risers who will use their Nintendo Switch on Thursday morning are therefore warned.

Note that this is only a question of maintenance and not of an update. We should therefore not expect the arrival of new features once this maintenance has been carried out. Nintendo has also already taken part in a first maintenance of the network of its Switch this week. FYI, the latter concerned the Nintendo Switch Online.

Nintendo Switch players, have you ever encountered problems during server maintenance? If so, what kinds of issues were we talking about? Tell us all in the comments below.
