  • Nintendo updates the firmware of the Nintendo Switch to version 14.1.0.
  • It’s not about performance, it’s about notifications when platinum points are ready to be collected.
  • Recently added game grouping.

The next system update for the Nintendo Switch has found its way to the console. However, version 14.1.0 does not bring any performance improvements this time, but focuses on a setting for notifications.

Reminder for collectable platinum points

With the current update to version 14.1.0, Nintendo is exceptionally not providing any patches for system stability. Instead, the “Platinum Points Notification Settings” item has been added to the system settings under “Notifications”.

If you activate this option, you will receive notifications about platinum points that you can claim. You get these, for example, when you complete Nintendo Switch Online missions. If you turn off the setting, you will not receive any notifications about it.
