If it succeeds, the Switch will become the second best-selling console ahead of the Nintendo DS, but behind the PlayStation 2. In total, Nintendo has shipped 139.36 million of its portable consoles worldwide.

Game sales down, despite the success of certain titles

The Switch has more annual players than ever before, with 122 million registered in calendar year 2023. On the gaming side, Nintendo said that Super Mario Bros. Wonderlaunched in October, had experienced a “ solid start » with 11.96 million units sold.
