Losing momentum, the Japanese manufacturer is revising its objectives in Europe upwards.

Nissan is trying to recover its health by accelerating in the electric. The partner of Renault and Mitsubishi in the Alliance has just revised upwards most of its sales targets for electrified vehicles (hybrid and pure electric) for 2030.

The Japanese manufacturer is losing momentum in most major regions of the world. At the beginning of February, it announced that it would sell 3.4 million vehicles over its entire 2022-2023 financial year (4 million in 2021) which will end at the end of March, i.e. a drop of 12.3% over one year. Nissan executives point to the lack of semiconductors. They also point out that its strategy, like that of all its competitors, favors value and profitability over volumes.
