PARIS (Reuters) – Air France management said on Wednesday that it would be able to ensure its entire flight schedule for Thursday, despite the call for a strike by some staff unions. of cabin.
The Unac and SNGAF unions, which together represent more than 50% of the airline’s flight attendants, have filed a strike notice covering the period from December 22 to January 2.
They demand the establishment of a binding regulatory framework to replace the collective agreement defining all the statuses of cabin crew, which expired in October. For the moment, the company has issued a management note guaranteeing all these statutes while negotiating a new agreement, which the two unions do not consider protective enough.
Air France management declined to provide information on the number of strikers. She specifies that her commitment not to affect the status of her staff, the time to complete negotiations for a new agreement, legally constrains her.
The inter-union SNPNC and UNSA-PNC, which represents 48.73% of these personnel, did not wish to join this movement, considering that there was no need to worry about the current regulatory framework, SNPNC deputy general secretary Sandrine Techer told Reuters.
The management will communicate on its flight programs 24 hours in advance for the other days concerned by the call to strike.
Professional elections are to be held in March at Air France.
