If you are looking for a contact grill, you will undoubtedly come across the “Optigrill” from Tefal. With automatic programs for various dishes and light indicators that show the current cooking level, the grill is extremely popular – but it’s also not cheap. The 2-in-1 contact and table grill from Cook, which is currently available in the Aldi online shop, is cheaper and sometimes even better.

The Cook-Grill is not just a contact grill that can be folded up. If the grill surfaces are folded down, it can be used as a table grill with a larger grill surface. You can also place it on the table and grill it together with your family or guests.
The grill plates are another advantage because they can be turned. This gives you the opportunity to use the grooved grill surface for better fat drainage and a grill pattern. Alternatively, you can use the smooth side, which is better suited for burger patties or vegetables, for example.
Automatic modes and doneness display
The Cook grill offers six automatic programs, including for beef, chicken, sausages, burgers or bacon. The temperature can be continuously adjusted between 80 and 200 degrees. The integrated display shows the time and temperature controller for each plate, and there are also four different color displays for the respective phase of the grilling process.
The latter function made Tefal’s Optigrill so popular because the light indicator prevents the food being grilled from becoming either too raw or too dry – it almost always works if the automatic programs are used correctly.
Optional accessories available
The grill also has a removable fat drip tray, which, like the grill plates, is dishwasher-safe. The manufacturer also offers accessories for the grill. Among other things, you can expand it to include a waffle plate or a burger press set. The contact and table groove measures 35.5 x 33.8 x 16.5 centimeters and weighs 5.8 kilograms.
At a price of just under 90 euros, the grill is particularly recommended because of its flexible use as a contact and table grill. It is also practical that the grill plates can be rotated and then offer a different grill surface.
If you want to buy the grill and give it as a gift by mail, you should hurry up. You should deliver the shipment by these deadlines so that it arrives before Christmas.
