No construction start this year – Old Leiner House: New owner is putting the brakes on

The groundbreaking ceremony for the Rossmarkthöfe in the center of St. Pölten is still a long way off. As the “Krone” learned, nothing will be demolished this year.

If it had gone according to the original plans of the Signa group, which has now slipped from one negative headline to the next, then St. Pölten would have a lot to celebrate next year: The Rossmarkthöfe, a “project of the century” from the town hall square to the promenade, should be completed in 2025 after three years Construction will be completed in time. But since the sale of the 9,000 m² real estate project to Süba, a big question mark has hovered over the huge conversion of the old Leiner area into hotels, apartments and a congress center. In any case, it seems as if the construction project that has already been submitted will be properly revised. Construction will start in 2025 at the earliest Because, as the “Krone” has learned, the development of the Rossmarkthöfe will also take the entire year. “The demolition of the former Leiner buildings will only take place after 2024,” confirms the Viennese real estate developer led by investor Klemens Hallmann. Construction work is not scheduled to start until 2025.
