He confirmed that there was no shortage and that there would not be "if everyone adopts responsible behavior". He therefore asked the population not to rush into stores to build up stocks. "The security of supply of French people with food and basic necessities is guaranteed today and will continue to be guaranteed in the days and weeks to come", he added.

Bruno Le Maire attended a meeting with distribution and agrifood players, in which the Minister of Agriculture Didier Guillaume also participated. "There is no difficulty in terms of food supply for the French and there will be no", he explained. He also clarified that there would be no rationing and "90 to 95% of the references (would be) present " on the shelves.

For "ensuring the security of the food and basic supply chain", the rules of "recruitment, night work, overtime" will be relaxed. To keep everyone safe, "employees now benefit from exceptional protection measures"Safety distances will be set up between customers and staff.
