A rumor runs on the net, rumor according to which Greta Thunberg will have made it possible to locate Andrew Tate. A rumor that turns out to be completely false.

Fake news, I write your name. Disinformation on the net never ceases to amaze us, affecting even the most banal matters. And today, it concerns the altercation between Greta Thunberg and Andrew Tate.

Greta, Andrew Tate, and Jerry’s Pizza

For those who have been living in a cave for a few days, a little summary is in order. Former kickboxer and influencer Andrew Tate this week attacked Greta Thunberg asking for her address in order to send her a complete list of her cars and their CO2 emissions. After a response from the latter, where she offered the possibility of writing to him at the address ” [email protected] “(should we translate?), Andrew Tate, annoyed, again gave him the reply in a video where he was offered two pizzas.

Less than two days later, Andrew Tate was arrested by the Romanian police. And almost immediately, a rumor ran on the web explaining that the authorities of the country had finally been able to confirm its presence on the territory thanks to the video where we saw the brand of the pizza manufacturer, “Jerry’s pizza”.

An amusing tale, relayed by many American media, and which would surely have marked the spirits… if it were not finally totally false.

Romanian police give another version

Indeed, when asked about the famous clue of the pizza box, the spokesperson for the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism in Romania Ramona Rolla denied any connection between the video and the arrest. In fact, the Romanian police had been on the trail of the Tate brothers for several months, and were waiting for the right moment to arrest them.

A Romanian newspaper article Gandul added that, to do this, the men of the Gendarmerie were spying, among other things, on the activity of Andrew Tate on social networks. A sentence slightly reworked by the twitto Alejandra Caraballo, then taken up by the Daily Beastwhich later became the source for all other American media.

The two brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate have since their 24-hour police custody been remanded in custody for 30 days. They are accused of rape, human trafficking and forming an organized criminal group.
