Delta plans to hire 1,000 pilots

Delta expects the volume of leisure travel in the United States to return to pre-pandemic levels this month and that business travel will pick up again, wrote CEO John Laughter to employees. The Atlanta-based airline expects to ease restrictions on transatlantic travel in the second half of the year.
Delta had started the new year miserably. In the three months ended March, the company suffered a net loss of $ 1.2 billion. Compulsory vaccination for new hires
The airline will require corona vaccinations for new hires in the USA in the future. The company described the decision as an important step to protect its employees and customers. Delta does not prescribe such vaccinations for its previous employees, but according to the airline, more than 60 percent of the workforce have already received them.
It has not happened often that US companies require employees to have corona vaccinations.
