No matter-where ticket: Edeka and DB: Travel throughout Germany for just under 40 euros – also with the ICE

Together with Edeka, Deutsche Bahn has brought out the “Egal-Wohin-Ticket” for EUR 39.90. In contrast to the 9-euro ticket, this is even valid for ICE journeys – and beyond August. This will get you to your destination much faster and more comfortably. There is a small catch, however.

The ticket is valid on the trains of long-distance (ICE, IC/EC) and local transport (IRE, RE, RB, S-Bahn) of Deutsche Bahn in the 2nd grade as well as the local trains of the non-federally owned railways (NE), so it covers practically the entire portfolio – as long as you move within the state borders. You need a separate ticket for the connecting journey to a neighboring country. By the way: children between the ages of 6 and 14 travel when accompanied by an adult for free when specifying the number of children when booking.
