The first of two planned descents in Colorado falls victim to the weather.
The first of two men’s World Cup downhill events at Beaver Creek was canceled on Friday morning local time. The race jury decided that the race could not be held due to the strong wind and persistent snowfall.
A second descent at the 2015 World Cup venue is scheduled for Saturday. On Sunday there is still a Super-G on the program.
