(Boursier.com) — Jobless claims rose slightly in the United States last week. The US Department of Labor has just announced, for the week ended December 24, that jobless claims reached 225,000, up 9,000 from the previous week. An evolution in line with market expectations.

The four-week average was 221,000, down 250. Finally, the number of unemployed people receiving benefits for the week ended December 17 reached 1.710 million, up 41,000 over seven days (1.690 million consensus).
