No time to die: will James Bond face his worst opponent yet?

Rami Malek is James Bond's opponent in "No Time to Die". And the character is not just a big threat to 007.

Rami Malek (39, "Bohemian Rhapsody") gave the fans a glimpse of what James Bond can expect in "No Time to Die". The 39-year-old plays the villain in the film in which Daniel Craig (52) can be seen as 007 for the last time. The Oscar winner now spoke about his character Safin in a featurette that was published on Instagram. "What I really wanted from Safin was to make him disturbing. He sees himself as heroic," said the actor in the clip.

Director Cary Fukunaga (43) also said that Safin is ready to go to great lengths to get what he wants – at the expense of millions of people: "What he wants and what he is ready to do makes him shut a scary person, for Bond personally, but also for the whole world. " Malek added that Safin was "a formidable opponent": "James Bond will have to adjust to this."

In the cinema from November

In a scene shown from the film, Safin told his adversary Bond that Bond was "unnecessary". "No. Not as long as there are people like you in the world," replied the legendary secret agent. In addition, fans learn from Safin that he is out for "revenge", that he is a man who "will kill millions". The audience will see how the duel between Bond and Safin will end on November 12, 2020, when "No Time to Die" will start in German cinemas.
