Noah Becker: He talks about his deep love for father Boris

Noah Becker (26), son of Barbara Becker and tennis legend Boris Becker (52), spoke in an interview with "Spiegel" about his relationship with his father. "Sometimes I have a protective instinct towards him, because I love him so much. I always send him a lot of love," explains the 26-year-old, who lives artistically as a musician, model and painter and now his paintings for the first time during Art Miami exhibits in a gallery.

While he hid behind the name "Knowa" as a DJ and as a bassist behind the band name "Bakery", he performed as an artist under Noah Becker. The feelings about his name would have changed. "I can now deal with my reputation better than before. But I wonder how people would behave if they didn't know who I was," says Becker. He used to be blocked from being reduced to his parents. "Today I can laugh about it. When you get older, you realize how small you are and how big the universe is."

"I was already famous as an egg"

His artistic work is not about fame. "I have the privilege of trying out things every day that will take me a long time to get perfect. Sure, I want to be successful, but much more important is continuous development." Becker said that he was already famous as an egg. "Fame doesn't make you happy."

Boris Becker's eldest son takes a critical look at sports competitions and doubts whether it is really so important to "hit a ball". In the interview, he explains: "Sport and nationalism are secretly linked. World Cup, Davis Cup, Olympic Games – these are ultimately competitions between nations. Against this background, I find it crazy that people put so much emphasis on how good someone is at a ball beats. " Rather, it should be fraternization.

In 2000, fitness icon Barbara Becker and tennis idol Boris Becker separated after seven years of marriage. The divorce followed in 2001. The marriage resulted in Noah Becker and brother Elias (20).
