Noah Schnapp: "Stranger Things" star falls victim to hackers

The Twitter account of "Stranger Things" star Noah Schnapp has been hacked. Questioning and inappropriate tweets were posted.

The official Twitter account of the actor Noah Schnapp (15) was hacked. On the weekend (August 15th) a number of partly questionable, partly inappropriate tweets were published there. The posts and retweets were about, among other things, that he smokes and had been beaten up. Other tweets that have since been deleted contained sexual content, racist insults and thoughts of suicide, as "Deadline" reports.

"That's not me"

Schnapp confirmed in an Instagram story that his Twitter account had been hacked: "It's not me". He also let his fans know that he was trying to come back soon and will let them know when he made it.

A month ago, other celebrity accounts, including those of Elon Musk, Barack Obama and Joe Biden, had been hacked and faced with similar disruptions.

The Canadian-American actor Noah Schnapp is known from the US science fiction mystery series "Stranger Things". Since 2016 he has played William "Will" Byers.
