Terrible! A young musician from Ischl slept on the couch with his brother (24) while visiting home. When the 29-year-old tried to get up at 2:40 a.m., he suffered a seizure and fell on the glass coffee table. He suffered such severe cuts that he bled to death at 3:44 a.m. in the hospital.
The 29-year-old, who had worked at a university in Vienna, visited his younger brother in his apartment in Bad Ischl on Sunday at 9:15 p.m. Because he was very tired from a party the day before in Vienna, the 29-year-old decided to spend the night there. He lay down on the couch.
Seizure
At about 2:40 in the morning, the musician woke up and wanted to get up. He must have suffered a seizure in the process. He fell on the glass coffee table – with terrible consequences: the young man suffered severe cuts in the neck and arms, and the wounds in his neck were so deep that the Viennese suffered massive blood loss.
Arranged autopsy
The 29-year-old was admitted to the local hospital. At 3:44 a.m., the doctors had to give up the fight. The Wels public prosecutor had the body confiscated. An autopsy was ordered.
