Noémie (Love is in the meadow): “We farmers, I think we can scare”

The breeder of suckler cows and Jura cereal farmer, youngest of the seventeenth edition of Love is in the meadow, to discover Monday October 3 at 9:10 p.m. on M6, continues this week to discover her suitors.

You have been subscribed to Love is in the meadow by your relatives. What made you decide to get started?

NOEMIE: At first, I was sure they wouldn’t take me, because I was only 25 and we were supposed to be at least 30 to participate. But as the casting progressed, I became more and more invested in it, because I felt that this experience would necessarily bring me something positive. And then on September 10, 2021, I learned that I was retained and, from that moment, I no longer had time to think. We do not realize at that time that we will be seen by millions of viewers and that we will be entitled to so many comments on social networks!

Karine Le Marchand recommends avoiding having too strict criteria concerning your suitors. Weren’t you yourself “stuck” on a certain type of physique?

That’s what I realized at the time of the broadcast. However, when I opened the letters, I had put the photos aside, and it was only if their letter appealed to me that I invited them to speed-date. And I may have the ideal of the big guy in mind, but if I take stock of the relationships I’ve had, not all my exes were.

Why does it seem harder for female farmers than for male farmers to find love in this program?

I don’t know, I think we can be scary. We run our farm, we are women of character, we do “a guy’s job”. It’s a particular lifestyle that doesn’t appeal to everyone.

Support from other candidates Love is in the meadow is it essential in this adventure?

Yes because, without them, it would have been more difficult to live. Before speed-dating, for example, we ask ourselves a lot of questions about what to do. It was hard to talk about it with my best friends because they didn’t really understand what was happening to me. Among the elders, I had advice from Claire, Sebastian, Fred and Rock, and it made me feel less alone. Because I said to myself that they had been there and that they hadn’t died of it!

Jean: who is the breeder going to fall for?

We feel that we are not at the end of our surprises with this cattle breeder who, on September 26, will take the plunge with one of his contenders. If you haven’t seen the episode yet, don’t read on! “Lawrence was my favourite, so when at the dance hall the sound guy said “kiss your date”, I complied! (He bursts out laughing.) The worst thing is that I had decided to tell them the next day who I had chosen. We won 24 hours with all that.” On a stay of five days, indeed, it counts. “It allows you to spend the last days on the farm with the chosen contender and see what happens…”
