(CercleFinance.com) – Nokia announced the launch today of MX Grid.
This solution combines artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to improve responsiveness and decision-making in OT (Operational Technology, i.e. solutions enabling the use of hardware and software to control the industrial equipment) by processing and analyzing data as close as possible to the source.
MX Grid accelerates the adoption of Industry 4.0, building on the Nokia MX Industrial Edge (MXIE) platform and leveraging reliable wireless connectivity, to deliver a new data processing architecture.
MX Grid leverages a pool of orchestrated, compute-capable field devices – known as ‘micro-edges’ – with a specialized, AI-enabled software stack.
‘The solution enables more efficient implementation of a wide range of critical industrial applications, including predictive maintenance, security and monitoring, worker safety, tracking and positioning, and quality assurance.’ , underlines Nokia.
