(CercleFinance.com) – Nokia announced on Wednesday that it has deployed a private LTE network with AT&T Mexico at a port terminal in Progreso, a small town in the state of Yucatan bordering the Gulf of Mexico.
This wireless network for industrial environments was installed within the APM Terminals infrastructure using the Nokia Digital Automation Cloud (DAC) connectivity platform, specifies the Finnish equipment manufacturer.
This 4.9G device is to provide high-speed, low-latency service to this site, which spans an area of 11.5 hectares to keep hundreds of employees, sensors and vehicles connected across its facilities and docks.
