Nokia: New inventory feature for drones

(CercleFinance.com) – Nokia announces the launch of a new inventory counting feature for its Nokia Autonomous Inventory Monitoring Service (AIMS), allowing autonomous drones to accurately count items in warehouses.

The idea is to reduce inventory losses, often caused by administrative errors, and to enable faster order fulfillment.

According to Nokia, Nokia AIMS drones will be able to perform inventory faster and more consistently than humans, while providing a more accurate and complete picture of inventory.

Available in the United States, this new feature will be available at no additional cost to current customers via a software update, and free for one year to new customers signing up in 2024.

Nokia AIMS promises a return on investment of ‘40% or more’ and also frees up humans for higher value-added tasks.
