Nolwenn Leroy takes on the lead role in a new TF1 series

After Louane (Visions) and Julien Doré (Panda), Nolwenn Leroy will soon be starring in a new TF1 series, Brocéliande, of which she plays the main role, a “huge challenge” which the singer returned to during the Canneseries festival. The first of six episodes of this thriller set in Brittany, as its name suggests, was previewed on Sunday in Cannes, in the presence of part of its team.

Nolwenn Leroy takes on the role of Fanny, a renowned biologist returning to the Brocéliande university, 15 years after the enigmatic disappearance of her best friend, for which some suspect her of being responsible. History repeats itself when one of his students disappears in turn, under the same mysterious conditions…

An appearance in “Captain Marleau”

This is not the first time that the singer, revealed by the “Star Academy”, has dabbled in comedy. She had already given the answer to Corinne Masiero in an episode of Captain Marleauthe successful detective series from France Télévisions, in 2021.

But she had never been at the top of the bill before, despite numerous offers. “It was the right time. This project brought everything together, ticked all the boxes, I couldn’t not accept it,” Nolwenn Leroy explained to the audience.

“A huge challenge”

“It was a huge challenge for me, I was aware of it because there are a lot of preconceptions in France about the singers who actually perform, this is not the case in other countries but it is a reality”, also declared the interpreter of “Bretonne”.

“I was so lucky to be able to live this experience, to have such caring professionals towards me” during the three months of filming, rejoiced the one who notably had Marie-Anne Chazel as a playing partner. “I do a job, my first job, where I am alone. I play on stage with a group, but we are alone a lot in truth, and there I relished the fact of never being alone, of sharing, of exchanging” and “to learn,” she added.
