This Monday, September 16, Clément Arnaud’s partner is on the bill for the series Broceliande broadcast on TF1. An experience she might not have had without her victory in the second season of Star Academy facing Houcine in 2002. Very attached to this show which revealed her to the general public, the interpreter of Broken has of course taken a quick look at the latest season of the famous talent show on Channel 1. Guest on the show Culture Mediapresented by Thomas Isle on Europe 1, Nolwenn Leroy was full of praise for the tenth edition won by Pierre Garnier. “I found that Star Ac’ had regained its splendor and I think that’s good. It proves the quality and strength of this program, of this school of art, singing, dancing and theater.”she confided without mincing her words. Before adding: “Ultimately, the artists who were revealed by this house have been around for the long term.”
After this statement, Carole Tolila’s companion took the opportunity to bounce back on the resounding success of Pierre Garnier. From then on, Nolwenn Leroy returned to the immense popularity of the performer of the hit Ce qu’on était. “The reception is not the same as what we experienced at the time. But it was also so huge,” she recalled with a certain nostalgia. And she continued: “It was also crazy. Today, the success is huge but compared to twenty years ago, it is still different.” A change that is certainly the key to the longevity of Star Academy.

Nolwenn Leroy marked by Star Academy: “At the beginning, it was very brutal”
Nolwenn Leroy will forever remember her participation in Star Academy. While she was in full promotion for her series, Marin’s mother agreed to talk about her experience at the castle of Dammarie-les-lys with our colleagues at TV 2 weekson September 3. During this interview, Thomas Dutronc’s friend confided that she had been struck by his sudden popularity with the French public. “At first it’s really very brutal,” confessed the 41-year-old singer. And added: “Unlike other artists who arrive in the profession gradually, Star Academy was a crazy accelerator, so I paid the price for many years.”
And for good reason, Nolwenn Leroy has often had difficulty breaking away from the Star Academy label. “Today, talent shows have become commonplace, but at the time, Jenifer and I were just getting startedshe explained. In terms of my profession, I felt this constant need to prove that I deserved what was happening to me, even though I was a musician, and I had just graduated from the conservatory. It didn’t have a free enough meaning to stop chasing this ‘validation’.”Having been in the spotlight for two decades, Nolwenn Leroy no longer has to prove herself.
