The Salzburg hairdresser Mario Krankl was the only Austrian to be nominated for the international AIPP Award. The awards regularly honor the best international hairstyle collections.
Hairdressing world champion Mario Krankl has reason to be happy: “We are delighted that our anniversary video ‘Garland & Tinsel’ was nominated for the AIPP Awards.” Several hours of work went into the elaborate hairstyles that Krankl presents in his video. “The video shoot itself also took a few days. We wanted to tell a story with it. So everything had to be right, from the hairstyles to the costumes and the setting,” says the hairdresser. Krankl hired a team of around 20 for this and shot for several days in Leopoldskron Palace. The cinematic result is now the only Austrian entry fighting for the international AIPP Award. A specialist jury from the association will award prizes for the best international hairstyle collections and video presentations at the AIPP Awards. The master hairdresser has published the video, including the making of, on his YouTube channel.
