Musician Norbert Rier's plans have to be postponed. The front man of the Kastelruther Spatzen cures a corona infection.

The TV appearance of Norbert Rier (60, "Colorado"), front man of the music group Kastelruther Spatzen, did not take place on Friday evening. Together with his son Alexander Rier (36), the singer should have been a guest on the MDR show "Riverboat". The 60-year-old now declared his absence on Facebook: Shortly before the recording, he had tested positive for the corona virus.

"We wanted to wait for the official result so as not to give you any false information," said a video message from the singer on the social media platform. The music group confirmed "that our Norbert was infected with the corona virus". According to his own information, the 60-year-old is currently in quarantine at home. "I'm actually feeling pretty good," he said, explaining that he only had "mild flu-like symptoms." Of course, Rier wants to make up for the "riverboat" visit "as soon as he's healthy again."
