Sentenced in February to life imprisonment for the murder of little Maëlys, Nordahl Lelandais was caught having sex in the visiting room of the prison of Saint-Quentin-Fallavier (Isère).
Prison officers had to intervene to interrupt the sexual relationship between the criminal and a visitor, this Thursday afternoon. According to information from the Dauphiné liberated, this was the very first visit obtained by this woman who lives in Paris.
“She maintained a sustained correspondence with the person concerned before taking the steps to apply for a permit: this was granted by the management of the establishment in view of the favorable opinion resulting from the prefectural investigation”, a clarified the prison management to the local newspaper.
Returned to his cell in solitary confinement, Nordahl Lelandais would have been threatening towards the agents.
The visiting room being considered a public place, the prison establishment qualified as an exhibition the facts noted by the agents. Nordahl Lelandais risks 14 days in disciplinary quarters and his visitor will be the subject of an adversarial procedure. In the meantime, his visiting permit has been suspended as a precaution.
