NordVPN enters the antivirus market

NordVPN gets a new layer of protection

Called “Anti-Threat Protection”, this new option is presented by the publisher both as a complement to its product but also as an alternative to the antivirus solutions that exist on the market.

VPN emphasizes privacy by blocking ad trackers

This feature, integrated into NordVPN, makes it possible both to prevent risks in the event of connection to a dangerous site and to prevent the browser from connecting to it, but also to detect phishing attempts.

NordVPN will also be able to spot infected downloaded files. These will be analyzed in real time by the software and, in the event of a problem, will be deleted immediately.

NordVPN will finally offer more comprehensive protection against activity trackers and ad tracking. Thanks to Anti-Threat Protection, the VPN will block all trackers that track the user in order to offer him targeted advertising and establish an accurate commercial profile. The service interface will also have a dashboard allowing you to view the different blocked trackers and authorize them or not on a case-by-case basis.

To benefit from this, users will need to download the OpenVPN version of the software. MacOS customers can already take advantage of this new service, while Windows subscribers will have to wait a few more weeks while the publisher rolls out worldwide.
