“The apartment was empty of occupants” so there were “no injuries”, but “the frame threatened to collapse”. Firefighters then “did extensive searches to secure the site,” she added. They discovered “a bag emanating a very strong odor” and found the body of an infant around 5 p.m., according to the same source, specifying that a magistrate had gone to the scene.
Regarding the fire, “The first conclusions would tend more towards an accidental start of fire, with a possible short circuit on an electrical device. A priori, the two events would not be linked”, indicated the authorities, cited by local media.
