Crown Prince Haakon of Norway is celebrating his 47th birthday today (Monday, July 20). On this occasion, new photos of him and his family can be admired on the royal house's official Instagram account. The summer snapshots show the birthday child together with his wife Mette-Marit from Norway (46) and the two children Ingrid Alexandra (16) and Sverre Magnus (14) outdoors. The photos were taken on the island of Dvergsøya off Kristiansand, where the family spends their summer vacation.

The two family dogs can also be seen on the two family photos, one on a bench in the countryside and one against a picturesque sea backdrop. Four portrait photos, each taken on trees, complete the series of pictures. The Crown Prince family poses in casual summer outfits.
Crown Prince Haakon wears purple shorts and a white polo shirt. Wife Mette-Marit can be seen once in a long orange summer dress with long sleeves and once in a white skirt and a matching white and black striped top. Ingrid Alexandra opted for a light blue summer skirt with a colorful pattern and a simple white top. Sverre Magnus is covered in dark blue from head to toe and stylish glasses on the nose.
