Norwegian sweater: designers and bloggers rely on the cozy style

The Norwegian sweater is making a comeback. Designers and bloggers show how to style the (dusty) classic casually and safely.

Sons-in-law will know him, teenagers may even fear him: the Norwegian sweater doesn't make everyone feel cozy. But that will now change. Designers like Isabel Marant (53) and influencers like Chiara Ferragni (33) pulled the diamonds, snowflakes, stars and points out of the moth box, combined them again and made the Norwegian sweater an it-piece.

Thanks to trendy color combinations and the use of materials such as merino wool, the "Norwegian" not only has a completely new look, it is also comfortable to wear. Details such as XXL sleeves or turtleneck collars also add that certain something.

Chiara Ferragni shows how it's done

So that the styling with the Norwegian sweater does not go in the rustic direction, it is best combined with very feminine pieces such as a white ruffled blouse or, as is very popular with fashion bloggers, with leather! Chiara Ferragni also uses eye-catching rhinestones and fringes for a casual look.

As far as the cuts are concerned, the sweater can be combined in many ways: Norwegian sweaters look great with midi skirts and go well with elegant Marlene trousers as well as skinny or fringed cropped jeans. Fashion bloggers often combine them with pointed ankle boots or slouch boots, which gives the look the necessary twist. And about that? Preferably a teddy coat. What also works great is the break in style with a leather jacket (ideally suitable for winter with a lambskin lining).
