After the first successful wireless headphones, Nothing is already preparing to launch a whole new generation, the Ear (2). These new True Wireless will still be seamless, and now we have a pretty good idea of what to expect.
While Nothing is already preparing a second, more “premium” smartphone Phone (2), the new British manufacturer will also be renewing its series of wireless headphones in just a few weeks. The Ear (1) were the first devices of the company, before being followed by the Ear (stick), and Nothing is now about to launch the Ear (2).
Thanks to new high-definition images shared by leaker OnLeaks, we now know precisely what the new headphones will look like. It’s not exactly the first time we’ve seen their design, as the latter was already shared by 91mobiles a few weeks ago, but it’s the best glimpse yet.
What changes for Nothing Ear (2)?
At first glance, it will be very difficult to tell the Ear 2s apart from last year’s Ear 1s. Nothing has obviously changed the name inscribed on the stem of the headphones, but has also taken advantage of this new generation to move some components. A microphone for active noise cancellation that was previously placed on the back now sits at the top of the stemand other components also seem to have changed places inside.
In addition to the design, OnLeaks tells us that Nothing will improve the functionality of the headphones. This time we will have the right to custom noise cancellation, which means that the user will have the freedom to adjust the level of noise cancellation according to their preference. Previously, only three modes were available (off, -15 dB and -40 dB). The headphones will also have a Transparency mode, which will allow you to hear your surroundings better.
At last, one of the major changes will be the arrival of Bluetooth Multipoint, which allows the Ear 2 to be connected simultaneously to two different devices, and to switch from one to the other quickly. Nothing also adds advanced EQ support with custom settings and Find Earbuds.
