Nothing phone (1): price and release date take shape


According to AllRound-PC, which cites a retailer as a source, the Nothing brand is aiming for the end of July to present or launch the very first smartphone in its history. A price range placing it in the mid-range has also been put forward.

The first Nothing smartphone is slowly but surely taking shape. Expected during the summer, the phone (1) has already been the subject of several leaks. The opportunity to get a first idea of ​​​​its characteristics – Snapdragon 778G, 4500 mAh battery, triple sensor, 6.43-inch screen – although to be welcomed with caution.

Inevitably, the price is one of the most important components. And in view of its potential technical sheet revealed, we estimated with a wet finger a price range oscillating between 350 and 500 euros. In the idea, this device would therefore be placed in the mid-range.

July in sight

At the end of May, the German site AllRound-PC (relayed by XDA Developers) believes he knows its price and release date, thanks to a European retailer who provided him with this information. The media specifies that the source wishes to remain anonymous. It is therefore difficult to define a degree of reliability for the advanced elements.

It is therefore advisable to take the following tweezers. According to the retailer, the phone (1) could land on July 21. Here it is not specified whether it is the presentation date or the launch date. And so far, this estimate is not surprising either: the founder Carl Pei had already mentioned the summer as a launch window.

A future Pixel 6a rival?

The most crispy is obviously at the level of the price. always according to AllRound-PC, the phone (1) could be around 500 euros. At this price, it would compete directly with a certain… Google Pixel 6a, also planned for this summer at 459 euros.

In this case, the phone (1) would come up against a hell of a piece that could easily overshadow it, especially on photographic performance with regard to Google’s powerful algorithms in this area. The first phone from Nothing must therefore provide a strong proposition to truly stand out from the others.
