“Nothing that goes”, the show tackled

The fourth bonus of Dancing with the Stars 2024 broadcast Friday March 15, 2024 on TF1 has caused a lot of ink to flow. On X, Internet users have notably noted implausibilities regarding several scenographies.

Friday March 15, during his 4th bonus, the very crowded floor of Dance with the stars welcomed the ten remaining candidates. The TF1 program notably saw Inès Reg and Christophe Licata dethrone Keiona and Maxime, while influencer Roman Doduik and his dance partner Ana Riera were challenged by Black M and Elsa Bois. Meanwhile, James Denton, known as Mike, was finally able to show off his talents. He fought in a trio with Coeur de Pirate, Diane Leyre and their respective dancers.

During this eventful evening, viewers scrutinized the slightest movements of the celebrities who tried their hand at dancing. And on X (formerly Twitter), Internet users were, as is often the case, not kind. They went all out to comment on the performances, which were deemed uncomfortable at best and downright ridiculous at worst.

Internet users are letting loose about Dancing with the Stars 2024: “I didn’t understand anything”

First to open the evening, Cristina Cordula and her dancer Jordan Mouillerac performed a tango on Can’t Get You Out of My Headby Kylie Minogue. But their picture scalded people’s minds. Supposed to perform this dance which has its roots in South America – more precisely from Argentina – the couple defended themselves on a theme…. Chinese. A set of objects reminiscent of the Middle Kingdom were strewn across the stage. No trace, however, of tango countries. “I didn’t understand why the music is not related to the type of dance”we read on X.

Internet users’ skepticism was awakened once again during Roman Doduik and Ana Riera’s show. The budding dancer tried his hand at a few steps on We get attached, by Christophe Maé. A priori, nothing to report. Except that their performance was carried out in a Caribbean setting which a priori had nothing to do with the song. The even more surprising touch? The dancer was dressed in a cheerleader outfit, again seemingly unrelated to the rest.

How can we explain these choices?

How can we explain these surprising choices, to say the least? Is the artistic director of Dancing with the Stars particularly fanciful, or did he simply confuse several paintings? “When I go find the artistic director who made Roman dance to Christophe Maé with a Havana vibe and a cheerleader dancer! There’s nothing wrong! »protests one Internet user in any case.

These artistic choices will at least have had the merit of getting people talking. In the meantime, after the elimination of Caroline Margeridon last week, these are Coeur de pirate and Nicolas Archambault who were eliminated this Friday, March 15 after their tango to Divine idylle by Vanessa Paradis. For them, it was indeed the last tango in Paris.
