The true wireless format allows manufacturers to compete with each other in terms of the design of their headphones. After Sony and its unusual LinkBuds, it’s Nova’s turn to present a pair of true wireless headphones, this time in the form of earrings.

Nova is a young German start-up which, following a Kickstarter campaign launched in February 2021, designed a pair of true wireless headphones in the shape of earrings. The principle ? A directional speaker placed in a 1.3 cm diameter bead is directed towards the ear canal of the wearer. A design that is also reminiscent of Bose audio glasses with their directional speakers hidden in the branches of the glasses. There is of course no question here of noise reduction, because the headphones do not cover the entrance to the ear canal. The user therefore remains fully aware of his surroundings while enjoying his music.

The pearl is placed at the end of a metal clip that can be fitted with a nail to suit both pierced and non-pierced ears. A button on the back of the clamp allows you to control the headphones to answer calls, manage playback or activate the phone’s voice assistant. The Nova H1 are also equipped with a battery of 4 microphones and IPX4 certified, which attests to their resistance to splashing water and perspiration.
The headphones communicate in Bluetooth 5.2 and are advertised with a battery life of 4 hours per charge, the case offering them an additional 12 hours of operation. The latter is also compatible with Qi wireless charging.

The Nova H1 will be available in September in two versions: a gold-plated one sold for €695, and another silver-plated one launched at €595.
