(CercleFinance.com) – Novavax advises that Health Canada has granted expanded authorization for its Covid vaccine, Nuvaxovid, as a homologous booster dose in adults aged 18 and over.
“Adult Canadians now have access to our protein-based Nuvaxovid COVID-19 vaccine as a booster dose,” said Stanley C. Erck, lab director. “With the winter months approaching, it is important to have vaccination options to help protect against this disease,” he added.
The laboratory specifies that its Covid vaccine has been authorized as a heterologous and homologous booster in the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom (United Kingdom), Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Switzerland, and that ‘a number of other countries have policy recommendations allowing the use of the vaccine as a heterologous or homologous booster dose’.
