Novo Nordisk recorded 42 billion Danish kroner (DKK) in net sales in the 1st quarter of 2022, up 18% at constant exchange rates.
The operating result also shows an increase of 18%, 19.1 billion DKK.
Net profit amounted to DKK 14.2 billion, up 13% on a reported basis, corresponding to EPS of DKK 6.22, up 14% compared to the 1st quarter of 2021.
Lars Fruergaard Jrgensen, CEO. of Novo Nordisk, said he was ‘very pleased with the sales growth in the first three months of 2022’.
The manager also announces that he is raising his prospects around R&D and says he is particularly encouraged by the first phase III trial on insulin icodec.
