Upheaval in sight for fans of Numbers and letters. In addition to the time change, the show will lose its two referees, Bertrand Renard and Arielle Boulin-Prat, at the start of the school year.
At the start of the school year, the habits of fans of Numbers and letters will be turned upside down. A few weeks after announcing that the cult show was changing its time slot, the production revealed that Bertrand Renard and Arielle Boulin-Prat would not be present for this next season. According The Parisianthe referees of the program hosted by Laurent Romejko would not have appreciated that the distribution of Numbers and Letters went from five issues per week to two. “We did not agree and we regret itconfirmed Alexandra Redde-Amiel, the patron saint of entertainment and games at France Télévisions to our colleagues. We thank Arielle and Bertrand for the very beautiful page of the game they wrote for so many years.”
As a reminder, Arielle Boulin-Prat had been present in Numbers and Letters since February 26, 1986 and Bertrand Renard joined the show in 1975 after having participated in it. “The adventure of numbers and letters will continue more than ever. We are working with Laurent Romejko and Patrice Laffont, the producer, to write a new page in its history”, explains Alexandra Redde-Amiel all the same. Note that France 3 spent the summer looking for replacements for Bertrand Renard and Arielle Boulin-Prat, which will still be present on the weekends of September 3-4 and 10-11 since these numbers were recorded before the holidays. On the air since 1965, the program will switch to weekly and will be broadcast on Saturdays and Sundays at 5 p.m. from September 17.
“We want to offer Numbers and letters to a family audience”
“This change of box is part of our strategy of enriching the editorial offer of France 3 at the weekend, in which the arrival of Michel Drucker also participates with Vivement dimanche, entrusted the boss of the games to the Parisian.
