Nvidia confirms renaming GeForce RTX 4080 12GB to RTX 4070 Ti

For a few minutes, Nvidia published the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti product sheet, the official announcement of which should take place in the coming days. And this will not surprise many people: the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti has exactly the technical characteristics of the GeForce RTX 4080 12 GB initially announced and then canceled.
Thus the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti embeds 7680 calculation units and 12 GB of GDDR6X for a boost frequency of 2.61 GHz.

A graph even gives an idea of the performance against the GeForce RTX 3080 12 GB of the previous generation. Nvidia thus announces doubled performance, and even more when DLSS 3.0 is activated – be careful, however, the previous generation is not compatible with this technology introduced with the RTX 40.

It is also possible to consult the graphics published by Nvidia when the RTX 4080 12 GB was announced in order to get a more precise idea of the performance of the beast. At that time, the RTX 3090 Ti served as the benchmark, and the GeForce RTX 3080 12GB—sorry, the Geforce RTX 4070 Ti—played cat and mouse with that older-gen model on current games.

All that remains is to wait for the official announcement of the Geforce RTX 4070 Ti, which will be made at CES in Las Vegas, and the tests that should follow in stride.
