After a few weeks of rumors, the GeForce RTX 4070 is official. Nvidia declines a little more its Ada Lovelace architecture with a more accessible price.
Nvidia had spilled the beans a little too early, but the GeForce RTX 4070 is now beautiful and well formalized. While the manufacturer’s range of graphics chips is already quite complete on laptop PCs, this is not the case on desktop PCs. Nvidia had only launched the GeForce RTX 4090, 4080, and 4070 Ti so far. This is the GeForce RTX 4070.
DLSS 3 for less than 700 euros
The strong point of this new graphics card is undoubtedly its announced price at 659 euros. Nvidia promises us that manufacturing partners will offer cards at this price. Of course, they will also offer their usual more expensive models with better cooling systems or overclocking.
The release is scheduled for this Thursday, April 13 with both Nvidia Founders Edition models and cards from Asus, Colorful, Gainward, Galaxy, Gigabyte, Inno3D, KFA2, MSI, Palit, PNY and Zotac.

For this price, the GeForce RTX 4070 integrates an Ada Lovelace AD104 chip with 5888 Cuda Cores, 184 Tensor Cores and 46 RT Cores. Nvidia announces 29 FP32 TFlops for rasterization. Of course, like the other Ada Lovelace cards, there is compatibility with DLSS 3 capable of generating complete images by AI.
The GPU is paired with 12GB of GDDR6X. Nvidia continues to be stingier than AMD when it comes to video memory, but for a graphics card meant to run games at 1440p, that might be enough.
Nvidia also highlights the capacity of its graphics card in tasks surrounding AI, it’s fashion, and the integration of the latest functions such as AV1 encoding.
