Towards a release in April?
Almost a month ago to the day, we were testing two GeForce RTX 4070 Ti models, first the Suprim X from MSI, then, in stride, the Gaming OC 12G from Gigabyte. Two interesting models, but not yet accessible enough to interest ordinary players.
According to the latest rumors, the GeForce RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti won’t arrive until next summer. So, to occupy the field, it seems logical to see NVIDIA market a card already hinted at, the GeForce RTX 4070.
This is the meaning of the information published by our colleagues from VideoCardz. They explain that they have received details related to the embargo put in place by NVIDIA regarding this new card. This embargo does not actually specify the date, but points towards the month of April.
A sharp drop in TDP
However, it should be noted that the sending of a non-disclosure agreement by a manufacturer does not bind him in the least. Until the last moment, it remains possible that a major change will take place. We remember the case of the GeForce RTX 4080 12 GB.
According to the latest rumors related to this GeForce RTX 4070, the card should be equipped with a GPU with 5,888 CUDA cores. There is talk of accompanying it with 12 GB of GDDR6X on a 192-bit interface bus. All in all, the bandwidth would be 504 GB/s.
Logically a step below the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, this newcomer could well be released in a Founders Edition version, that is to say manufactured by NVIDIA itself. On the other hand, no price range was mentioned while the TDP would be clearly down, to 200 W.
