The new offensive by Jensen Huang’s group comes just weeks after the United States blocked it from selling two high-end artificial intelligence chips and one of its best gaming chips to Chinese companies. Last month, Nvidia said new export restrictions announced by Washington would prevent it from selling two of its modified advanced AI chips created for the Chinese market. One of the company’s high-end gaming chips would also be affected. Nvidia holds more than 90% market share in China in AI chips, but American restrictions now considerably complicate the group’s task, which must demonstrate agility.
