The first benchmark tests for the Nvidia RTX 4080 may have appeared. A leak should reveal how well the upcoming graphics card will perform.
- A leaker claims to have already tested the RTX 4080 16GB.
- The values roughly match the values published by Nvidia for the RTX 4080.
- The tested graphics card performs up to 23 percent better than the RTX 3090 Ti in tests.
Nvidia will soon be releasing the RTX 4090, while the RTX 4080 should not appear until November and even in two different versions.
Although the graphics card has not yet been released, a leaker claims to have already carried out a series of tests with the RTX 4080 16 GB. The values published by the leaker roughly match those published by Nvidia for the 16 GB version of the RTX 4080.

According to a leak, the RTX 4080 16GB should have reached these test values.
Not the values specified by Nvidia
The tested graphics card should have a clock rate of 2,505 MHz instead of 2,520 MHz. In addition, the RTX 4080 is said to have 48.8 TFLOPS, which is only slightly below the tested value of 53.62 TFLOPS.
As reported by Videocardz, the tested graphics card achieved 17,465 points in the Firestrike Ultra benchmark test and 13,977 points in the Timespy Extreme test program. The graphics card should be 20 to 23 percent faster than the RTX 3090 Ti.

However, it cannot be verified whether the tested graphics card is really the upcoming RTX 4080 16 GB. After all, there is still no suitable driver for the new generation of graphics cards.
Appropriate drivers for the upcoming graphics card generation from Nvidia should only be published on October 12th, i.e. to match the release of the RTX 4090. Incidentally, two graphics cards from Intel will also appear on that date.
