The output of a Graphic card GeForce RTX 4070 is beyond doubt. The question is to know when and, above all, at what price?

A real open secret, the GeForce RTX 4070 does not yet seem close enough to us for NVIDIA to confirm its existence, but an unmistakable sign, the clues are multiplying.

A release in April?

At the beginning of last week, our colleagues from Videocardz brought what looks like the most irrefutable proof of the existence of this GeForce RTX 4070: a document evoking an embargo date.

Preceding any journalistic test or any presentation by an influencer, the embargo dates are there to prevent leaks or, at worst, to give NVIDIA the means to turn against the dishonest who would have braved the forbidden.

In this case, the embargo date is not visible on the document of our colleagues, but the latter mentioned a probable release during the month of April. To support their statements, they relay today a photograph published by MEGAsizeGPU.

Still 5,888 CUDA cores

Distributed via Twitter, the photo in question is that of the GPU at the heart of the GeForce RTX 4070. As we can see very clearly, it is indeed the AD104-250-A1, already mentioned many times.

The GPU is logically a reduced version of the AD104-400 which equips the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. It is distinguished by the number of CUDA cores (5,888 against 7,680), but also by the operating frequencies, which are significantly reduced: we are talking about 1,920 MHz base (against 2,310) and 2,475 MHz in boost (against 2,610).

However, equipped with a memory subsystem identical to that of its big sister (12 GB of GDDR6X, in 192-bit for a bandwidth of 504 GB/s), the GeForce RTX 4070 will further lower the entry ticket to the Ada Lovelace generation. As for the price, will it be less than 700 or less than 600 euros?
